Study Permits
To study in Canada, most foreign nationals will require the authorization of a study permit. The primary requirements for making an application for a study permit include:
Acceptance by a Designated Learning Institution (DLI) in Canada – A DLI is a Canadian educational institution which has been approved by a provincial, or territorial government to host international students.
Sufficient funds to support payment of tuition, living expenses while in Canada, and return transportation to your home country.
Evidence that you will leave Canada at the end of your studies.
That you are not inadmissible to Canada (e.g. by reason of medical or criminal history)
Proof of identity, including a valid passport and recent passport-size photos.
A Custodianship Declaration for minor children requiring a custodian.
Other country- or region-specific documents.
